The way teachers are perceived by the Israeli public affects the quality of teaching, the relationship between parents and schools, and the level of public trust in the education system as a whole. Improving the public image and social status of teachers is an essential part of educational reform.
Hakol Hinuch was established in 2008 to advocate for educational reform in Israel, including the legislation of a new education bill, which holds the government responsible for the public education system and the advancement of teachers. With this grant, Hakol Hinuch seeks to promote the status of teachers and teaching in Israel, and to build a broad coalition of stakeholders that will help bring education to the forefront of the government priorities.
