The organization intends to collaborate with The Marker's 2021 initiative and convene roundtable discussions and workshops, organize virtual forums on social networks
The social protest that erupted in Israel in the summer of 2011 revealed the public’s dissatisfaction with the state of education in the country. Many teachers joined the demonstrations and expressed their frustration with the existing disconnect in their opinion between decision-makers in the field of education and the workers in the field. These teachers pointed out that there is no cooperation between the various stakeholders in the field of education, and that the stakeholders have not succeeded in expanding the circles of influence on the design of education reform in Israel. The preoccupation with these issues has raised the level of young people’s awareness of the issue of education in Israel, and as a result there are growing buds among them in teaching as a profession.
H. This Education is a new association established following the social protest that erupted last summer. The heads of the organization are a group of young teachers and social activists in the field of education, who strive to create a participatory dialogue between various departments in Israeli society and to shape a new vision for education in Israel. Together with the media group The Marker, the organization plans to hold a conference where the reform of education will be discussed, with the participation of experts and consultants from Israel and the world. In preparation for the conference, the organization will hold an event of round tables and workshops, and will use virtual forums and social networks to reach the general public and encourage its participation.
