CET: Avney Rosha
Avney Rosha, the Israeli Institute for School Leadership, was established in 2007 as a joint initiative of the education ministry and Yad Hanadiv. The institute was founded with an understanding of the vital contribution made by school principals to the quality of educational activity in the institutions under their management. The institute’s vision is to advance the education system in Israel and to enhance its achievements through the activation of school principals as a leading professional community.
In order to realize this vision, Avney Rosha works to create a professional administrative cadre, to develop and implement programs to train school administrators, and to promote the development and education of serving principals. All of this is undertaken, alongside the development of practical and theoretical up-to-date knowledge, and in consultation with renowned experts and organizations involved in the field of school leadership. The institute’s activities are conducted in cooperation with active school principals, and under the direction of the institute’s board which is headed by the Minister of Education.
