Evening of Quality Teaching 2018 - Gala Event for Grantees and Partners Focusing on 21st Century Mathematics and Science
Over the past seven years, the Trump Foundation and its partners have worked together to expand the circle of mathematics and science excellence in Israeli high schools. Our portfolio of grants and projects has grown, developed and diversified, and today we are working with close to 250 grantees, partners and stakeholders to achieve impact on a national scale. Our first years of activity focused on upper secondary schools, raising the number of students majoring the five-unit matriculation track. In recent years, our work is spreading to junior high schools as well, in order to expand the pipeline and prepare a larger cohort of students for the advanced learning tracks in high school.
Underlying these efforts are the foundation’s partners, and their passion, talent and willingness to lead the way to achieving sustainable impact. Inherent to the success of this national effort is their ability to cooperate, collaborate, and learn from one another. To this end, the foundation has invested much time and effort in convening our partners in different networks and forums over the past years, and has established a tradition of hosting an Evening of Quality Teaching – a special event for grantees and partners following the biennial meeting of the foundation’s Advisory Council.
Towards the forthcoming Advisory Council in 2018, we propose hosting a similar event – a celebration of the progress and impact made by the foundation’s partners over the past years, in their mission to improve mathematics and science education. This is our chance to bring them together to thank them, to celebrate them, to encourage them and to inspire them to continue their important work.
The event will take place in a beautiful location in Jaffa on November 13th, 2018, and will include a cocktail reception, themed activity, followed by dinner and a short award ceremony for the Trump Master Teacher Awards. We will invite 250 guests, including policymakers, partners from hi-tech, local authorities, school networks, members of the foundation’s Advisory Council, grantees and teachers. We intend to hire a freelance event producer to help plan, prepare, coordinate and produce the gala evening at appropriate standards.
